A-Saltek
Inc. is clearly the leader in RVSM certification.
The
process of obtaining RVSM airworthiness and operator approval requires specialized technical expertise. A-Saltek Inc. has
been providing RVSM certification services to the Aviation Industry and is uniquely qualified to plan, manage, and
execute RVSM approval programs for the most expedient, thorough, and cost-effective RVSM process in the industry.
Operator approval is required to ensure that all
RVSM
aircraft must meet required equipage and altitude-keeping performance standards or specific airworthiness requirements are met and
maintained, through maintenance programs. Appropriate crew training and operating practices have been
established.
Application for operational
approval should be submitted 60 days prior to expected operation in RVSM airspace. A-Saltek Inc. and partner Aviator
Services Inc. can

RVSM RECERTIFICATION OF FAA CHAPTER
5 MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
The
FAA requirement for a complete RVSM maintenance program is also fulfilled by having an up to date chapter 5 maintenance
inspections completed and the background history of inspections documented by certified FAA mechanics as needed
to handle RVSM:
In summary the Chapter
5 maintenance requirements for RVSM aircraft are established at the time of the RVSM application. The Chapter
5 inspections and maintenance requirements are associated with the equipment in the aircraft and are endorsed in either
the maintenance airframe logbook provided by the manufacturer of the aircraft or in the ICA provided in support
of the STC installed in your aircraft.
We
at A-Saltek will provide your company with the ability to bring your aircraft into regulatory compliance with the RVSM Chapter
5 maintenance requirements by our mobile certification stations that will come to your airplane and conduct the required inspections
for RVSM certification.
MINIMUM EQUIPMENT LIST (MEL) FOR JET TRANPORT AIRCRAFT
A Minimum Equipment List (MEL) is an FAA
approved document that allows an aircraft owner/operator to fly with a certain item(s) inoperative. The Federal Aviation Administration
produces a Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) for most aircraft to use. They provide the format that is acceptable to the
administrator.
The operator then tailors the (MMEL) to
the equipment installed on the aircraft, and a formal request of authority must be requested to
utilize the (MMEL) as an (MEL) to the FAA for final approval. Additionally, there is a requirement to tailor the
aircraft (MEL) to RVSM CG-59 compliance.

Is not Included in MEL but is
required
by Type Certificate, AD
or special conditions:
|
If yes
The aircraft is not airworthy; repair
before next flight.

If
No

Pilot performs or has a qualified person perform the appropriate (M)or (0) Deactivation or
Removal Procedure.

TRAINING FOR FLIGHT CREWS
RVSM COMPUTER-BASED PILOT TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
It has long
been proven that computer-based training, when compared to traditional training methods, results in better comprehension and retention of subject material in less instructional time.
The computer, as a trainer,
is infinitely patient, totally objective and uncompromisingly standardized as an instructor and evaluator. As the computing
power of hardware and the sophistication of available software has grown, one factor remains unchanged. It takes a tremendous
amount of time, dedication and perseverance to produce effective computer-based training. Often, the startup cost is prohibitive
for an aviation organization to transition to effective CBT.
We at A-Saltek Inc. can
provide your organization with certification for RVSM via FAA approved computer-base training for RVSM, at your
flight crews leisure on any computer any where in the world, at any time.

MARINE VESSEL DOCUMENTATION
What is Coast Guard
Documentation?
US Coast
Guard documentation is a federal form of boat registration controlled, monitored, and completed by the United States Coast Guard. When a vessel is registered with
the Coast Guard it is given an official document number which remains with the boat, permanently displayed on an interior
part of the hull. The issuance of the document number begins the Coast Guard history of the vessel. All future transactions
are recorded and appear on the Abstract of Title produced by the Coast Guard.
What are the advantages of Coast Guard Documentation?
US Coast
Guard documentation provides a history and record of build and ownership for the vessel owner. This history is maintained
at the Coast Guard and is provided upon request in the form of an Abstract of Title, reflecting all recorded ownership transfers,
mortgage recordings, claims of lien and releases. This allows a boater to sell his boat, and a buyer to buy that boat, and
be assured it is free and clear of all recorded liens and encumbrances. When Financing Your boat, lenders rely on the USCG
records of documented vessels to confirm their security interest will be perfected by a First Preferred Ship Mortgage recorded
with the Coast Guard.
Boaters
cruising in international waters often prefer federal documentation to attain certain protections afforded by the US flag, which include aid from the US
consulate when you are in need. Foreign port officials easily recognize federally documented vessels and appreciate that the
ownership is supported by a detailed Abstract of Title reflecting all recordings.
